The Face® F-Number School (info at Dipstick.com) is held 10 to 12 times a year in North America. F-Number Schools are planned for locations in Asia beginning in 2012.

Presented by Face Construction Technologies, the F-Number School is an intensive 2-Day Course. Students learn how F-Numbers work and how to lay out and measure floors in accordance with ACI and ASTM requirements. They get hands-on experience in collecting and analyzing data from a floor. In addition, there's instruction on interpreting results and producing reports.  

Along the way, students pick up many helpful tips normally gained only after years of experience.

Also included are lessons on how to operate and maintain Face's Dipstick® Floor Profiler and how to run its basic and advanced software packages.

The course is designed for testing lab personnel, owners' reps, architects, engineers and contractors.

Contractors learn how to use the F-Number System and the Dipstick to make better, flatter and more level floors.

Graduates, who must pass a final exam, receive frameable and pocket diplomas and become Certified Dipstick Technicians. Construction projects around the world require measurements by a Face-Certified Dipstick Technician using a Dipstick Floor Profiler.

F-Numbers were adopted by the American Concrete Institute in 1990 for the specification, measurement and control of concrete flatness and levelness.

The Face Companies invented the F-Number System; the Face Floor Profileograph; and the Face Dipstick Profiler. They played a leading role in the development of superflat floor finishing techniques and the evolution of improved equipment, products and procedures designed to produce flatter and more level concrete floors.
